| Feedback was broken. |
December 10, 2006 |
Hi all. Feedback was broken for a while. If you sent us anything over the past couple weeks, we probably did not see it. Also, sorry updates have been slow. It has been pretty terrible watch Celtics games this year, which reduces the frequency of updates. Let us know if you want to contribute some updates!

| Warming up for 2006 |
September 17, 2006 |
So. It's been a little while, but we're back. We've added the games (including four preseason games) to the schedule, and are starting to get that tingly feeling in our "grownup area". We're also looking for some help scoring this season, so if you are interested (it's kind of fun), shoot us an email at info (at) tommypoints.com (or use the contact page).

| Welcome To 2005-06 |
November 2, 2005 |
We have updated the site for the new season. Things are busy busy busy around here, but we are lining things up for another season full of updates. 2004-05 data is temporarily offline while we generate the capability to display history data. Go Celtics!

| Blount Insane? |
October 25, 2005 |
So apparently Mark Blount (rhymes with count) has changed the pronunciation of his name from blount, rhymes with count, to blunt, rhymes with runt. Are you even allowed to do that? Heinsohn and Gorman have both been pronouncing it "blunt," but the Celtics PA announcer is saying "blount." When Doc Rivers made rookie Gerald Greene announce the coaches and players during the open practice last Sunday, Greene pronounced it "blunt." Anyway, it seems like Mark thinks this will make him a new person. I've gotta say, during the Nets game on 10/22, it at least gave him new hands.

| Updates Trickling In... |
August 29, 2005 |
Clearly we made a tactical error when we crossed our hearts in the previous news post. Oops. Anyway, updates from the end of last season are trickling into the database. We just watched a clutch win against Philadelphia on 4/12/05, and game 1 of the Pacers series, where the C's really made our hearts burst with pride. Good times.
Anyway, we only have two games left on our Tivo to process; there is still a handful of missed games from last season. We may put out a call for tapes on those.

| Sorry For The Delays |
April 17, 2005 |
Sorry for the delays on updates, the TommyPoints.com staff has been attending a lot of games recently, which really slows down updates. We will be up to date soon, cross our hearts!

| Tommy Knows About TommyPoints.com |
April 7, 2005 |
Jeff from CelticsBlog.com (my favorite Celtics site) recently scored a press pass, and wrote the following: "I asked him [Tommy Heinsohn] if he knew about TommyPoints.com and he said he did. We shared a chuckle at the fact that someone has enough spare time to track these things..."
We could not possibly be more excited.

| Walker Traded!! We Explain |
February 25, 2005 |
Danny Ainge has re-acquired Antoine Walker, after dispensing with him in October of 2003. We have made an incredibly helpful diagram explaining how the Celtics traded Walker for Walker. View it here. Unfortunately, we cannot explain who is going to wear #8 for the C's.

| Mike Points?! |
February 2, 2005 |
In the 4th quarter of the game vs. Houston, Mike Gorman (at Tommy's suggestion, after Tommy refused to give a non-Celtic a Tommy Point) awarded Jon Barry of the Houston Rockets a "Mike Point" for showing extraordinary hustle by diving onto the scorer's table. Look for our new site, www.mikepoints.com, very soon. View the video here (WMP 9 Required) (No audio).

| Celtics DVD! (Shameless Plug) |
January 26, 2005 |
You may have read about this: the Boston Celtics Complete History DVD. People love it. The Celtics will be in the finals again within three years, so I think they'll have to update it again soon.

| Huge Update |
January 23, 2005 |
Did some big catching up, added a ton of games back on. Still missing a few of the more recent games, but they're coming. The Heintron 2000 is now (except for an inability to display the color red) fully functional.

| Tommy Points Updates Delays |
December 2, 2004 |
We would like to apologize for the recent delays in updates. The crack staff at TommyPoints.com has been feverishly working on the Tommy Heintron 2000 Supercomputer which will "automatically" isolate and identify Tommy Points. Here is an example of its raw processing capabilities:
TOMMY HEINTRON 2000 SUPERCOMPUTER OUTPUT:
---------------------
00:25:13:03:
>> Tom: GREAT MOVE FOR PIERCE AS
IVERSON HAD BLOWN PAST DAVIS.
THIS GOT TO HURT PAUL PIERCE.
THAT'S A TOMNY POINT!
WE DON'T HAVE ANY TOMMY POINT
SIGNS DOWN HERE.
ALTHOUGH I SAW SOME SIGNS...
--------------------
"TOMNY POINT"? As you can see, there are still some bugs to work out. Rest assured, updates will soon be back, and faster than ever.

| New Rule From Tommy |
November 23, 2004 |
During the Celtics' game against Seattle, Tommy Heinsohn declared, "If they call a timeout, that's a double Tommy Point!" During the course of the season, TommyPoints.com will track how consistently this rule is applied.

|
| Celtics Season Begins; Tommy Points Kicks Off |
November 4, 2004 |
The Celtics lost their season opener, but everyone wins with Tommy Points, especially Paul Pierce, who won the season's first Tommy Award despite receiving no Tommy Points. Tommy, you love Waltah? I love you! I LOVE TOMMY!

|

TommyPoints.com will have representatives in the stands. If you want to stop by, go to the front of Section 304 and yell "Tommy Points!"
